Where to Hire a Car in Epernay

One of the best ways to see the Champagne region, explore the vineyards and visit the many chateaus is by car. If you would like to rent a car in Epernay, you will have a few options. There is an Avis car rental at the Epernay train station. This is very convenient if you are coming down to Epernay by train. You can also rent a car through Hertz. Is There Uber in Epernay?

Yes, there is Uber in Epernay. Reims has an Uber service that also covers Epernay and some of the surrounding villages. Do check how long it would take for the car to reach you as they often need to come from Reims. In addition, prices can be quite high so it might be a good idea to check if there are local busses or trains (when travelling between Epernay and Reims) instead of Ubers. How to Get from Epernay to Hautvillers

Hautvillers is one of the best villages in the Champagne region and should definately be on your itinerary. There are a few ways you can get from Epernay to Hautvillers. The first way is by car if you have rented a car. You can also call a taxi. A taxi will take about 7 minutes door to door and will set you back between €15 and €19. Last but not least you can also take the bus. There is a bus from Hessel-Godart Roger to Gare Routière in Hautvillers. The ride takes about 5 minutes. The bad news is that this bus service only runs three times a day…

How to get from Reims to Epernay

If you want to get from Epernay to Reims I would recommend taking the train. The SNCF operates an hourly train service between Reims and Epernay. The journey takes about 34 minutes and prices for a ticket range between €6 and €13. You can buy a ticket at the station but I would recommend booking a ticket beforehand to get it cheaper. How to get from Paris to Epernay

There are several ways to get from Paris to Epernay. I have written a very detailed article about this.

The first way to get from Paris to Epernay is by train. You can choose between the High Speed Train (TGV) and the SNCF slower service. The journey was about 1h15 minutes and leaves from Gare de l’Est. 

You can also drive from Paris to Epernay. You can take either your own car or you can rent a car in Paris via rentalcars.com. The drive will take about 2 hours via the motorway depending on traffic. The option is great if you are looking to visit some villages in te area. 

Last but not least you can also take one of the intercity busses. Travel time is between 2.5 to 3 hours but can be longer depending on traffic. This is by far the cheapest option to get from Paris to Epernay

How Far is Epernay from Paris

Epernay is about 140 km (that is 87 miles) from Paris. This will obviously vary depending on where you start in Paris.

How to get from london to Epernay 

The best way to get from London to Epernay is by train. You can take the Eurostar to Gare du Nord in Paris and then the train from Gare de l’Est to Epernay. Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est are literally next to eachother. You can read more about taking the Eurostar from London to Paris in this article.

You can also drive from London to Epernay. You can cross the channel by Eurotunnel or Ferry to Calais and then make the drive to Epernay. The Eurotunnel takes about 35 minutes and the ferry takes about 90 minutes. The drive from Calais to Epernay is quite straightforward and takes between 3 and 4 hours. Last but not least you can also take the bus from London Victoria to Paris and then from Paris to Epernay – but this will take hours. The bus from London to Paris alone can take 6 to 7 hours. If you are interested in taking the bus you can always check the schedules and times via Omio.

Does Epernay have an airport

Épernay itself does not have a commercial airport. You will always need to fly into another city and then make your way down to Epernay

What is the Nearest Airport to Epernay

The closest major airports to Épernay are in Paris: Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and Orly Airport (ORY). Charles de Gaulle, being the larger of the two, offers a wide range of international and domestic flights.

Is There a Christmas Market in Epernay

Epernay has a Christmas market known as ”Les Habits de Lumiere” which means ”The Garments of Light”. The market typically takes place in December and is very popular with locals and tourists alike.

The market is known for its Champagne Tastings, and local crafts and cuisine. You will also be able to enjoy the light shows and decorations at the market and of course the little concerts!
